The   New Hanover   County Foster and Adoptive Parents Association (NHCFPA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support and advocacy of foster and adoptive families in   New Hanover   County. We sponsor various activities for families, including monthly support meetings for foster and adoptive parents and various social events throughout the year.

Please Note:

The New Hanover   County Foster and Adoptive   Parent   Association   is supported by the New Hanover County Department of Social Services so the Association's   meetings, training, and events is only for foster and adoptive parents that are licensed through New Hanover County Department of Social Services (NHCDSS). However we welcome new members, see our Fostering Info link, to see how you can become a foster parent with NHCDSS. Once you are licensed with NHCDSS you are welcomed to attend any function the Association holds.

If you are interested in making a difference in a child's life then you may want to consider becoming a foster parent. We have provided information on how to become a foster parent on this website. Look under theFostering Info. link.
